Darlene Merkler

Darlene Merkler has 38 years of experience working in senior healthcare. Having been a primary caregiver for her mother and father, she understands that caring for a loved one can be overwhelming.

Darlene’s professional experience includes working in adult day care, assisted living, Alzheimer’s assisted living, skilled nursing, continuing care retirement, hospice and consulting. Darlene worked with Riverside County Office on Aging where she helped to develop the Care Pathways Program. She served as President of the ICRC Board of Directors 2004-2008 and has been employed by ICRC as an Education/Outreach Coordinator for the past 4 years. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Inland Empire Network for Care (IENC) as the President.

Darlene is the author of three books. The latest book “The Complete Resource Guide for Baby Boomers-Second Edition” was published at the end of 2019.
